She underwent an emergency Caesarean section, but her condition worsened post-delivery, with unstable vitals that necessitated her admission to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Her premature baby was immediately placed in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). However, Priscilla’s medical battle was far from over.

She began experiencing abdominal pain, and doctors later discovered internal bleeding that required a second emergency surgery just days later on Friday.

“The second operation was crucial to stop the internal bleeding,” Wambua shared. “We thank God she pulled through.”

How much is Priscillah's medical bill?

After a few more days in the ICU, Priscilla stabilised and was transferred to the general ward before being officially discharged.

However, she was not allowed to leave the hospital due to the unpaid medical bill.

Her baby, who had since improved and moved from the NICU to a regular ward, was discharged on April 19 but also remains detained.
