Rosy Tobiasi could not hold back her tears as she expressed her maternal pain following the disappearance of Karen Daniel, her young daughter.
Karen went missing under unknown circumstances on Monday evening, April 28, after school and has not been traced.
Her distressed mother emotionally recounted the events leading to the primary school girl's disappearance.

"On the day she disappeared, that morning we left home together as she went to school and I headed to the hospital. I returned home at 6pm, only for my other daughter to inform me that Karen had not returned home. I phoned her grandmother asking her if she had seen her grandchild. She told me Karen had visited her at 4pm. Karen told me they did not have lessons in school, hence her reason to visit her granny," she narrated.
What did neighbour's child bring to Karen Daniel's home?
Around 7pm, Rosy's neighbour's child brought milk and Karen's uniform and backpack. She said Karen had sent her with the belongings as she headed to school.
Rosy requested her other daughter to follow the young girl to see if she would be going to Karen's school.
"She lost her along the way, but she continued to go to school. Upon arrival, my daughter was told by the teacher that her sister was not in school. The teacher asked her to wait for Karen until 9pm before they could take action. When it clocked 9pm without any news about Karen, we began looking for her until 12am when we returned home without her," Rosy said.
Which school did Karen Daniel attend?
In the morning, Rosy reported to Bethany School, where her daughter attended school, informing the principal she had not heard from her daughter.
She later proceeded to the police station, where she recorded a statement as the police urged her to continue searching for Karen.
"I have not seen her at all. My daughter has no habit of loitering around, going to the neighbours' house to play, staying in a place until it is late at night or running away from home even when you chastise her.
"Karen, wherever you are, please come back home. I love you. Come back so that we can continue with life. You are just four months shy of completing school. Your teachers love you, and they are worried about you. Your dreams are still valid. You are loved at home. I am suffering. I cannot eat, sleep or drink. I am stressed day and night. I have no rest," she cried.

Grade 6 Machakos girl goes missing after being disciplined
