Kinyanjui shared on Facebook that it all started in Ongata Rongai when he was approached by a woman requesting a ride to Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH).

He quoted her KSh 1,000, which she quickly accepted without bargaining — a moment he now realises signalled the urgency of her situation.

The cab driver admits that he was so engrossed in having the client on board that he didn't notice she was pregnant at first.

"As soon as she got into the car, she started making sounds of pain. When I asked, she said her baby was coming," Kinyanjui recounted.

What followed was a tense and high-speed dash along Magadi Road as the driver tried to get her to the hospital in time.

However, just past Galleria Mall, the situation escalated.

"She was screaming by then. I was terrified the baby would be born before we arrived," he said.

As they passed Nairobi West and neared Mbagathi Way, the inevitable happened — a baby's cry filled the cab.

Without hesitation, the quick-thinking man rushed the vehicle into Mbagathi Hospital, where medical personnel took over.

In a beautiful twist of fate, Kinyanjui revealed that his son was born on the same day, almost at the same time, making the experience even more personal and memorable.
