Murang’a Family Seeks Help as Cooperative University Son Goes Missing Under Mysterious Circumstances

A family in Tuthu, Kangema, Murang’a county is desperately searching for their son, who went missing three weeks ago under unclear circumstances.

The 23-year-old, Erick Joseph Irungu, mysteriously disappeared on April 13, leaving his family worried and devastated.

Erick is a fourth-year student at the Cooperative University in Karen, Nairobi.

“He was pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Marketing, Innovation and Technology and had about one month left before finishing school,” said Erick’s mother.

Where was Erick last seen?

On the fateful day he disappeared, Erick's family thought he was in school and his mum called him severally, but he did not answer.

“I called him at 9pm he did not answer, then called again after an hour but he still failed to pick up,” said the devastated mum.

His family said they have searched for him everywhere, including the City Mortuary, but their efforts have been futile.

“He is a good boy. We checked various hospitals in Nairobi and even the mortuary to see if he had been admitted, but we are yet to find him,” said a relative.

The 23-year-old’s family members expressed deep concern, noting that many days have passed and they still do not know his whereabouts.

They have called on the government to intervene and assist in the search for Erick.

“We are pleading with anyone who knows his whereabouts or has seen him to contact us. Irungu, where are you?” asked a family member.

Kenyans online joined in solidarity with the heartbroken family, as many offered prayers and words of comfort as the family continues their search.

Kisii family seeks help to find missing 27-year-old son

In other news, TUKO.co.ke reported that a family in Bobasi, Kisii county, was left devastated following the disappearance of their 27-year-old son.

Hesbon Ochoki was reported missing on Monday, October 7, 2024, after he failed to show up for work in Nairobi.
