Ong'ondo Were's Children Warmly Welcome Kenyan MPs as They Visit Karen Home

The children of the late Charles Ong'ondo Were, who was shot dead, have welcomed several Members of Parliament to their Karen home.

The politicians arrived at the residence of the former MP to offer their heartfelt condolences in person.

Were's kids sat together as they welcomed their highly esteemed guests in their mourning period.

They did not look too sorrowful as they demonstrated strength after losing their father in the terrible incident.

Kaluma stood as he introduced the family of the late MP to his colleagues.

While Were's wives sat on one side, the children sat together on the other end, brothers and sisters together.

Behind the children was a massive television screen that showed the opulent lifestyle of the family.

The space where the meeting was held was also vast, with posh furniture which hosted the highly esteemed guests comfortably.

As the children were introduced, they nodded their heads and smiled to acknowledge the introduction.

Jalang'o's promise to late MP Were's children

Kaluma noted both Were's daughters are in school, with one at Catholic University and another studying at Kabarak Group of Schools.

Phelix Odiwuor Khodhe, more popularly known as Jalang'o, was among the MPs who were present.

The former comedian shared an emotional speech in front of Were's family and his colleagues on Tuesday, May 6.

"If there is anything we can do, please let us know," he told the family as he expressed his support to the bereaved.

Jalango recounts relationship with late MP Were

The Lang'ata MP recounted building a wonderful friendship with the two-term MP before his passing.

He painfully recounted a conversation he held with his physiotherapist, who was also caring for Were.

Jalang'o said he lost a dear friend, as he became close to Were through the physiotherapist whom he shared with the late Kasipul MP.

The politicians delivered moving speeches as they consoled the family of their late, hardworking colleague.

Charles Were's children vow to continue his legacy

In another story, Boid Were spoke on behalf of his siblings, honouring his father with words of courage and resilience.

The young man who confidently stood in front of his family and his father's colleagues said, despite the grieving moment, the family was still strong and moving forward.
