Koimburi's ally arrested
Macharia is not the only one arrested in relation to Koimburi's alleged abduction. The DCI arrested Cyrus Kieru Muhia over the lawmaker's alleged abduction outside a church in Kiambu county on Sunday, May 24.
According to police spokesperson Michael Muchiri, Koimburi was allegedly abducted using a Subaru vehicle belonging to Muhia.
Muhia boasts a Subaru Forester that allegedly blocked the MP, leading to the latter's purported kidnapping.
Reactions to the video:
Lynn Mboroki:
"Who was taking this video & how did he/she know there could be an abduction??? Cz this is not a cctv footage!! Anyway may God protect him."
Simiyu Hanningtone:
"There is a reason why the Subaru went for him and not you. Didmus Barasa advises Koimburi."
Steve Macharia:
"Almost 12 hours later he hasn't been presented in a court of law."
Muigai Symon:
"Why do they have to do it at night? Thats not an arrest."
Jossy Wa Juja:
"Waaaah my God 😭😭😭😭😭😭Machaaa may God protect you bro."
Didmus Barasa advises Koimburi to lay low
Another story revealed that Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa did not believe that Koimburi was abducted. He claimed that Koimburi staged the kidnapping, and he asked him to lay low.
According to Barasa, the MP contacted him through the Signal app, and that was followed by a dramatic disappearance and reappearance.
The legislator likened Koimburi's ordeal to a script from Cleophas Malala’s Shackles of War, terming it “cheap drama” that undermined grave political discourse.
Police who were investigating the case noticed that Koimburi’s story and the physical evidence at the farm had mismatched elements, such as vegetation.
