MaryHill Girls High School is mourning the sudden and heartbreaking loss of one of its students, Ruby Zawadi Ndavi, a Form Two student, who tragically died following a school bus accident.

How MaryHill Girls High student died
Details indicate that the school bus was ferrying a group of girls from the event when the unfortunate accident took place, resulting in fatal injuries to Ruby.

According to philanthropist Ndung'u Nyoro, the young girl succumbed to the injuries at the scene.

Three other students sustained injuries during the incident but were treated and later discharged. The school confirmed that all the affected families have been informed.
In a statement released to parents and guardians, the chief principal of Mary Hill Girls High School expressed the school's deep sorrow:
“We regret to inform you of an incident involving one of our buses, which had taken girls for a St. John's Ambulance event at Pioneer High School in Maragua. During the unfortunate incident, we lost one of our girls in Form 2 Mars, while three others who were injured were treated and discharged," read the message.
The chief principal concluded the message by requesting prayers during the difficult moments and promised to keep parents posted about new developments.

Student's death sparks chaos at Moi Nyabohanse Girls' School
Meanwhile, Moi Nyabohanse Girls’ Secondary School in Kuria West, Migori County, has been closed indefinitely following the tragic death of a Form Two student.
Deborah Nchagwa Moherahe collapsed while attending a tea break session, but later joined fellow students who were rehearsing a poem on the school field.
The teen, however, collapsed again and died while receiving treatment at the nearby hospital. Her demise sparked student protests over alleged negligence by the school administration.
The angry students claim that the matron, the school nurse, and the teachers took too long to seek medical attention for the young girl.
