It wasn't until a woman shared that she had seen her with Macharia earlier that the family got some headway in their search efforts.
CCTV footage had earlier captured her walking alongside Macharia, who was a well-known porter to traders in the Nyeri market area.
Four days after the little angel went missing, Macharia led them to his house in Witemere Slums, where he had hidden the young one's corpse and they unearthed the body of Tamara in a gunny bag.

How was Tamara's Candlelight Vigil?
During the vigil to celebrate the life of Tamara, people danced, praised, and worshipped God. They were held together by blinding grief as they were confronted by the fact that a little life had been senselessly cut short.
Musician after musician led the people in worship and as they prayed to God about the life of the little girl, tears flowed on their faces.
Children who were also present could not hold back their tears as well; the murder was indeed committed against an innocent soul.
Macharia is in jail and Senior Principal Magistrate Faith Munyi of Nyeri Court ordered him to be detained for 14 days to allow police to complete investigations. The case is set to be mentioned on June 10.
