According to eyewitnesses and residents, the truck had been parked at the location for approximately three days after reportedly developing mechanical problems.
A resident of the area confirmed that the vehicle had been immobile for days, but no one suspected anything was amiss until the grim discovery was made.
"The lorry had been there for about three days. We assumed it had broken down, but no one expected something so horrific," she told reporters.
Residents lament over insecurity
