A young woman from Busia county is beaming with joy after embarking on the journey of motherhood.

Ouma successfully delivered four bundles of joy on Sunday, June 1, as Kenya marked Madaraka Day.

"I have given birth to four babies—two handsome boys and two cute girls. I feel great. God has helped me give birth successfully. I gave birth on Madaraka Day, and this is my gift," she said with a big smile.

Sitting on the edge of her hospital bed, Ouma appeared far from tired despite welcoming four new members to her family.
Her smile never faded as she basked in the joy of delivering several healthy babies.
Ouma's plea to Kenyans after welcoming quadruplets
Despite her delight, Ouma made an emotional plea to fellow Kenyans, acknowledging the heavy responsibility of raising children.
"I am pleading for help to care for and raise these kids. I do not have a source of income. I already have two children at home," she said softly.
Ouma said she plans to name one of her newborns Madaraka to commemorate the special day she gave birth at Busia County Referral Hospital.
On the same day, some well-wishers visited the hospital, bringing gifts for the new mothers to celebrate Madaraka Day with them.

Bomet woman welcomes triplets
In another heartwarming story, a woman from Bomet county became a mother of eight after joyfully welcoming triplets.
Mercy Kurgat and her husband, Wesley, expressed mixed feelings after the birth of their three sons on Wednesday, April 16.
The couple, from Chepkosa village in Sigor Ward, also appealed for public support in raising their newborns.
