Kisii county: A man who missed death by a whisker after killers were allegedly sent to assassinate him by lethal injection has shared that he had been labelled a witch.

How much was Kisii intern bribed?

On Tuesday, June 3, two men went to the male ward where Jacob Moseti was admitted to carry out the plot, but were not sure of whom they were looking for.

Later, a nurse reportedly advised them to approach a medical intern and bribe him to carry out the crime at the Bosongo Hospital.

"I asked them why can't I just go with one of you to do it but they refused so I asked them to give me their phone so that I can record once I was done," the intern said.

The intern was reportedly offered KSh 10,000 to execute the horrendous plan, but he declined and informed authorities.

Who is after Moseti's life?

Although Moseti was almost taken to meet his maker prematurely, he seemed calm. He pointed an accusing finger at his relatives, whom he claimed never wanted to see him.

"They don't want to see me or my family," alleged Moseti.
"They have been looking for all available ways to kill me but I am a church elder and I do not look for any type of witchcraft to hurt anyone," he claimed.

The suspects will remain in custody for 14 days as the police try to unravel the motive behind the bizarre plan.

The nurse is currently being watched over, as she attempted to harm herself.

As mentioned, the three suspects who allegedly participated in the plot to kill 82-year-old Moseti have been arrested.

It emerged that the nurse who suggested the medical intern's involvement was from another hospital.

Many questioned the safety of patients in the same facility.
