Wakimani shares glimpse of beautiful house interior
She shared a photo that captured the comfy lifestyle her children enjoy in their beautiful home.
The kids comfortably relaxed on the high-end sofas as they watched a program on the flatscreen television.
"I told them I might travel and I won't be back soon, and they were like, 'It's okay, go have fun, Mum'... ouch! I expected them to say no! I cooked ugali, and they told me I would eat alone. They searched for leftovers, and when they didn’t find any, they decided to fast," she added.

Wakimani proud to be part of Gen Z mums' community
She described the differences between the parenting she received growing up and the approach she uses with her kids.
"I am a millennial, and I was raised by very strict parents. I was never given an opportunity to make choices for myself, and I had limited information. When I became a parent, I tried the same with my kids, but I failed terribly—especially beating them as a form of correction or discipline. I had to unlearn a lot of things by involving a therapist to help me understand Gen Z and Gen Alpha. These are kids growing up with technology and the internet. They can access any information, and they know their rights.
I have learned to address them through healthy conversations. I discovered that I had a lot of childhood traumas, and through my kids' support, I have healed. So far, so good. I don't force them to make choices unless they are comfortable. I'm also part of a Gen Z mums’ community, where we discuss and share ideas on how to raise our kids better," she said.

Wakimani shares her parenting strategy
She admitted to using some traditional parenting methods blended with modern approaches, noting the mix was helpful and effective.
The marketing director said she remained firm when it came to education, household chores, and respecting elders.
"I had to unlearn a lot of things, and this has helped me to discover my kids' unique gifts and nurture them early, unlike in the past, when most parents failed to support talents and focused only on being book smart.
My kids can communicate effectively and speak out about their feelings without fear of being judged or punished," she added.

Kenyan parents share hilarious parenting moments
Social media users headed to the comment section to share their own parenting experiences:
Grace Ngigi:
"Wait... just having two Gen Zs and two Gen Alphas is a full choir with balanced sounds. Eti mom, we're having a family AGM tomorrow morning. Please inform your hubby.' I shouted back in dismissal. The bigger one laments: anger pro max.
The Alpha one gives me the last bullet: 'Calm down, Mum. How long will you take to heal from your emotional childhood trauma? Relax. My first salary, I'll take you for counselling and therapy.'”
Poormillionare Wuod Jareru:
"Mine is a Gen Z. I asked him to come to my workplace for an interview; they wanted casual workers. Only for him to appear wearing floaters and a pair of rugged jeans that exposed all his knees. The security called and told me a mad teen was looking for me. I’m still looking for a place to faint."
Jamaican Bird:
"Milele na milele Amina 🤣🤣🤣😂... I'm supposed to visit her at school on Saturday. Her teacher sent me the list of things she wanted me to bring. I asked the teacher if I could please talk to her because the list—lol 😂😂 I asked her, 'Mama, are you going to eat all those things you wrote?' And visitation rules say you must eat everything that day strictly. She was like, 'Just bring any' 😂😂😂😂"
Fedis Rugendo:
"Mamiiiiii, you've not seen it all yet... I have two teenagers, and their younger brother is turning 8. They hold meetings behind my back and send their sister, who is the oldest, to bring their grievances to me.
Last holiday, the agenda was that they don't want to see me lonely anymore—they want a father figure 🙆🙆🙆 Hehehe, I'm expected to manifest the answer to their problem by next holiday 😂😂😂 It’s like I need to go to the market and buy one. Hawa, it's only prayers 😅"*
