A TikTok user who plans to join fellow Gen Zs in the demonstrations has penned an emotional farewell message to his mother.
God Fao noted that his mother is tense and worried about him as he prepares to join the protests.
What message did God Fao have for his dad?
She fears losing him, despite Fao highlighting his good and innocent intentions for participating.
"Hey mum. If you’re reading this, I probably didn’t get the chance to hug you tight before I left. I know you’re scared — I am too. But I had to go. Not because I’m fearless, but because I dream of a future where no one else has to do this. Please don’t cry too much, Ma. Save some strength for when I come back.
"And if I don’t… just know I went down fighting for something bigger than me — and for you, tell my little siblings I love them. Tell dad I tried to be the man he raised. And you, you gave me life. Now I give mine for others to live free," the caption read.
What message did God Fao have for his siblings?
Fao admitted his mother would be disappointed to see her son protesting alongside fellow Gen Zs, seeking justice for the innocent lives lost at the hands of the police and government.
He said he is fighting for justice and good governance, together with his fellow fed-up protestors.
"We also do not want our children and the coming generation to go through the same problems we are going through right now as Gen Zs.
"Pray for me — and in case I do not come back, tell my younger siblings I died trying," he said, adding, "Sometimes life doesn't hand you what you want. You have to go out and fight for it."
