Nairobi: The mother of Austin Macharia, who was shot dead by his friend, was inconsolable on June 23 and threatened to remove her clothes if her son did not get justice.

What happened to Austin Macharia?
Macharia was tragically shot at close range on Thursday, June 19, while at a petrol station in Thome Estate.
The incident caused protests as it emerged that the suspect in the shooting is related to a senior person in government.

According to Kasarani Sub-County Criminal Investigations Officer Alloyce Mboya, the suspect was already in custody, sharing his real identity.
Why was Austin Macharia's mother inconsolable?
In a video shared by activist Hussein Khalid, Mama Austin was threatening to remove her clothes because she was not being heard.
"I'm ready to remove my clothes. If you are not going to listen to me, I will remove my clothes," she wailed.

A man and a woman who were holding her tried their best to hold her.
The video caused a lot of pain to people who watched it, and many people said that such kind of grief can cause depression.
Lexine dashian explained: "She's ready to remove her clothes it's something like a curse thing for those who don't understand, it has a deep meaning."
"When a parent gets to that point, it is sad for real...nyway, God have mercy on us🙏🙏. Those who do not understand such pain can judge her but they dint understand how painful it is or how she's feeling," she added.
