1. He owned Kanyatta Avenue for a day

A man managed to get a very good look at Kenyatta Avenue and other streets when he climbed onto signage that identified the street.

His whole outfit was of the Kenyan flag, showing that he was patriotic to the country, and many people praised him for it.

Below him, there was also another fearless man who stood with his arms spread wide.

2. Numbers don't lie

Another photo showed how people entered the Nairobi Central Business District (CBD) in numbers, ready to fight for their rights and against the Finance Bill.

The millennials and Gen Zs were on motorcycles, on foot and looked courageous as well as upbeat when entering the city to protest.

Many who have seen the photos urged the protesters to come out in large numbers and recreate the day so as to have an impact.

3. Iconic returning officers

It is very common to see protesters in Kenya throwing back teargas canisters after police have lobbed them, and sometimes it usually comes with devastating effects.

In June 2024, a young police officer lost his hand after trying to throw a grenade, and in 2025, a young man sadly had his hand blown off when it came into contact with a grenade.

On the streets, people who throw back the canisters are called returning officers and earn the admiration of many people.

4. Most heartbreaking photo

The death of David Chege was one of the most heartbreaking incidents, and many people cried for him, especially since he was young and had given his life for a better Kenya.

The young man was sadly shot in the head, and in such incidents, people run away, but in his case, people quickly rushed, covered him and stayed to watch over his body. They then sang the national anthem over his body.

The IT expert will be remembered for his love of Kenya and how he never thought twice about going to fight for it.

5. Policeman with gun

A picture of a policeman with a gun pointing at a young man kept people on the edge of their seats as they didn't know if he was going to kill him.

Luckily, the young man was able to talk his way out of the quagmire and ended up going away to the relief of many people.

In June 2025, a young man also had a very difficult time with the police, and in Molo, a Form Three student was shot dead.
