How did protester save friend from police?

He was about to take off, but then remembered his friend and went back, threw himself into the commotion, and finally managed to rescue him from the violent police officers.

Once they were released, the two young men did not take off for the nearest hills, as most people would do in similar circumstances. Instead, they started hurling insults at the police officers, but the cops let them go as the cameras were rolling.

"A friend in need is a friend indeed! This legend wearing a black coat had a chance to escape, but he couldn't go without his friend and even took extra beatings for him. The comrade must reward the one in a black coat with mbuzi. Viva!" read the caption..

Were police officers ungrateful?

After the young protesters were released, it emerged that one of them had saved the life of a policeman who had been accosted by protesters just minutes earlier.

"Why are you beating me? You mean you can beat me and yet I am the one who called you when your colleague was attacked?" he asked the police, who just turned their backs on him.
