Why were Kenyan Gen Zs protesting?

Young people from different Kenyan regions came together and commemorated the death of protesters who died in 2024 during the anti-finance bill demos.

They also took the opportunity to ask for justice for Albert Ojwang, who was recently killed in police custody and Boniface Kariuki, who was sadly injured at the hands of the police.

"Meeting my mom at the protest," said Koikai.
"Wow, the two of you really look alike, she is now wondering who gave you permission to go for the protests," responded a netizen, Racykayla.
