Rodah Wanjala is now a proud homeowner, thanks to well-wishers who were touched by her appeal.
The widow’s story was aired by Apostle Dan Wema, a philanthropist who shared the struggles she went through.
Rodah abandoned by her children
He narrated her plight after meeting her in her home compound, where she was preparing a meal for her grandchildren.
"Imagine a mother, a widow, left utterly alone. Mama Rodah’s own children, her flesh and blood, have abandoned her. She calls, but her calls go unanswered. The thought of her sitting there, hoping for a connection that never comes, is agonizing. But the pain doesn’t stop there. Her current living situation is dire—she’s literally being rained on inside her home. She doesn’t have a safe, dry place to lay her head, let alone find peace.
"We cannot stand by and watch this continue. It’s time for us, her online family, to step up and make a tangible difference. Our goal is simple yet profound: to build Mama Rodah a decent, secure house—a home where she won’t worry about the next downpour, a place where she can finally find dignity and comfort," he shared.
Rodah was emotional as she opened up about her challenges, which touched the hearts of many Kenyans.

Wema gave her some money, and she cried in thanksgiving for the help she received from the man of God.
True to his word, Wema and generous Kenyans rallied together to build a decent house for Rodah, who cares for her four grandchildren.
He shared the progress of the construction from start to completion, remaining transparent with the financial contributions made toward helping the needy woman.
"In small ways, we are spreading love ❤️. Thanks for supporting this ministry," Wema captioned the post after completing the house project.
Dan Wema vows to continue helping Kakamega woman
Rodah stood outside the house, lifting her hands in the air in gratitude for the amazing gift she received from well-wishers.
She could not contain her joy, overwhelmed by the love shown to her by Kenyans.
Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Wema noted that Rodah was going through much more than what had been shared online.
"Being a widow and caregiver to little children is a huge burden. The little ones should be in school, but they aren’t due to financial struggles. We hope things get better for her, and we aim to continue supporting her to improve her life," he said.

Kakamega boda rider gifted new house
In another story, Wema made headlines for his philanthropic gesture that changed the life of a boda boda rider.
Yuri worked as a boda boda operator while carrying his young son in his jacket after his wife abandoned them.
The single dad was left because of poverty, as he could not adequately provide for his wife and child with the little money he earned.
Wema ensured that Yuri has a decent house to live in and even bought him a brand new motorbike.
