Diana Cherop is inconsolable after learning of her son's gruesome death in the neighbourhood.

Cherop had been desperately searching for Brighton for three weeks without a breakthrough.

She had even asked the alleged suspect, who reportedly abducted her son, if he had seen the little boy.

"I asked him, 'Has Brighton come here?' It was his mother who answered, saying, 'No.' I asked if Kathwana had been seen around, and she said the kids have not been there," Cherop said.

What was missing from Brighton's body?

The heartbroken woman said the suspect's family denied any knowledge of her missing son, despite her probing them in their home.

The body of the little boy was later found in a maize plantation, with some organs missing, as noted by a resident.

"There was no liver or kidney," the man painfully said, expressing his frustration over the inhumane incident.

Out of frustration, the locals proceeded to torch the houses belonging to the alleged suspect involved in the death of the seven-year-old.
