Joyce Gituro has been grilled by her children over alleged favouritism toward one of her beautiful children
What are the names of Joyce Gituro's kids?
The media personality shared a video in which her firstborn daughter and firstborn son confronted her.
They hilariously claimed she showed more affection and support to her lastborn son, Jakes, than to them.
"How would you deal with this?" read the caption on the viral Facebook video.

Rachel and Walter, Joyce's children, complained that she does not show them as much appreciation as she does to Jakes.
How many kids does Joyce Gituro have?
They claimed her world revolved around her lastborn, even pointing out that her social media hashtags were dedicated to him.
“Are we not your children? Whose children are we then? Why is it that every hashtag is #MamaJakes and not #MamaWalter or #MamaRachel?” Rachel jokingly asked, as her mother rested her head on the wooden table.
She then asked her mum to name whose children they were, individually. Despite Rachel affirming that she was Joyce's daughter, Walter humorously and indirectly said he wasn't sure, giving a funny reason.
He explained that he had recently called his mum, and she fumbled with his name—calling him Rachel, then Jakes—before finally asking who was on the phone.
Do Joyce's kids have a father?
“Whose kids are we? And you know we don’t have a father?” Rachel sarcastically asked, causing their mum to burst into laughter, while Walter looked at her seriously.
Joyce clarified that although they have a father, she has been raising them single-handedly, saying, “I did not birth you by myself.”
She defended herself by explaining that Jakes is her lastborn son, which is why her hashtags centre around him.
“Anyways, I have nothing to say,” she said calmly, burying her face in her hands as her children stared at her.
Family counsellor Jane Murimi Mugo told TUKO.co.ke it was impossible for parents not to have favourites.
"There is very fine line and it may not be evident like parents may not vocalise it but actions can tell. We can say Gituro is a perfect example but we cannot conclusively say so because maybe she has her other reasons.
Sometimes parents can assign some duties to their 'favourite' children because they trust them and they know they can handle them. Interactions, sharing of some family details among other things can reveal a parent's favourite child. Definitely even a more obedient chiild would be loved more," she said.

Netizens comment on Joyce's video with kids
The comment section exploded with mixed reactions from social media users, with some admitting they never knew she had other kids.
Divinar Swahili Teacher:
"I thought she had only Jakes; anyway, it feels so beautiful to have grown-up kids."
Shonz Van Khimani:
"Oh my God, this is sooo relatable. I’m known in most places as Mama Ajani (my lastborn), who is seven years apart from his big sister. In fact, most people are surprised to learn I have another child, because my daughter has mostly been away—first in boarding school and now in college.
People only know my "handbag," Ajani 😂😂🤭🤭—vocal and sooo visible in life, unlike his introverted sister."
Mukami Carol:
"When I took my two older children to boarding school and stayed home with the lastborn, one day they came home from school and found that my profile picture was of the lastborn. They called me for a meeting.
