Angry mourners who took the body from the Kerugoya Mortuary dumped it at the station after causing a fracas for about two hours.

How did the police react to Nguru's body?

According to the mourners, the police had failed to arrest the key suspects who took the life of the boda boda rider who used to ply his trade at the Kiaga Trading Centre in the Kirinyaga Central constituency.

Although Nguru was murdered, his new motorcycle was found next to his body, which puzzled many people as well.

"The young men are in pain, as they have been dying in droves, and nothing has been done about it. We are telling the police to take action now," said an elderly resident of the town.
"He was beaten on the ribs, hand and leg then finally strangled. We know who did it but he has not been arrested," another resident alleged.

Who is the Ndia police boss?

Ndia police boss Jos Mudavadi revealed that they have launched investigations and urged residents to record statements.

"Initially, we thought he had taken his own life, but it emerged that wasn't the case. The investigations are at an advanced stage, so that we can come up with hard evidence to nail the perpetrators," said Mudavadi.

At the police station, grieving mourners addressed the media and then went to the suspect's homestead, where they set his property on fire.

His chickens were not spared either, as the mourners ran away with them.
