The Kenyan woman recently shared her inspiring story, revealing how she dropped out of school after scoring 197 marks in her Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) exams.

With a score many consider too low for a promising academic future, her fate seemed to have been sealed.
To make things worse, the person she trusted most laughed when she expressed her desire to study further and sarcastically asked if she wanted to go to 'Makerere University.'
"That broke me," she wrote on an inspiring video shared on her TikTok page.
Left with no support system, Ruth took up menial jobs to survive and worked in people’s gardens, planting vegetables and harvesting potatoes.
How Ruth Njau's life changed
Later, she became a house girl, a role many young girls in poverty-stricken homes are pushed into, often sacrificing their dreams. But even as life weighed her down, Ruth never gave up.
“Life was heavy, but I kept going,” she said.
In a twist of fate, her life changed after joining a dating app, where she met the man who would later become her husband.
Their connection blossomed into love, and he eventually brought her to Norway. Today, the couple is raising a young son together.

In an almost similar story, Priscah Nyangasi, a Nandi mum who returned to school 16 years after finishing her KCPE, scored a C plus in her KCSE exams.
The 34-year-old mother of four sat for her final secondary school exam at Goibei Girls High School in Vihiga County.
Her husband, Joseph Kiptum Kemboi, who paid for her to return to school, congratulated her on the results, acknowledging his wife had a tough journey.
