He visited Franklin Isaboke Ongangi’s wife and their two young children, who lost their patriarch.

“This evening, I visited a family from Kiuu, Githurai. The father, a boda boda rider named Franklin Isaboke Ongangi, received a call from his neighbour asking for a ride to Githurai.

"It was on Friday, July 4, at 8am He quickly grabbed his jacket and headed to his boda boda, parked in its usual spot. After warming it up for a few minutes, he called the neighbour, who joined him, and they set off for Githurai. What he didn’t know was that this would be his first customer of the day, and the last he would ever carry in his life,” he shared.

How did Isaboke die?

Tragically, Isaboke and his neighbour collided head-on with a matatu just outside the CEO Hotel in Githurai and died on the spot. The heartbreaking accident left both families devastated.

“Isaboke leaves behind a four-year-old daughter, a two-year-old son, and a wife who is currently unemployed.
"I urge my followers, please, let’s stand with this young family and help lay their father to rest,” he added.

He also shared photos of the young family, including Isaboke’s wife, Lydia Kwamboka Mokaya, holding their two children.

Grief was etched on her face, showing she was still mourning the loss of the love of her life and the family's breadwinner.

The children appeared calm, seemingly still processing the absence of their father, whom they had neither seen nor heard from in over a week.

While speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Lydia was emotional as she opened up on the challenges that were before her.

"My husband was the breadwinner of the family. We relied on him for everything. Now I have been left with young kids and without a helper. I am almost falling into depression not knowing what to do. It is going to be very tough for me without him. From the bills of the house to school fees and mother financial obligations, it will be very difficult," she cried.
