The family, school community, and friends of Teddy Oduor Owino are breathing a collective sigh of relief after the Form Four student who had been missing since Tuesday, July 8, was finally found safe.

According to the family, Teddy arrived at their home in Kibra, Nairobi, in the early hours of the morning at around 2 am.
Where was Teddy for 3 days?
Juliet Afandi, a teacher at Londiani Boys High School, told TUKO.co.ke that although the youngster was visibly tired and disoriented, he was unharmed.

She explained that the Form 4 student had been roaming in Nairobi the whole time, until his story went viral online.

"From what we’ve gathered, he was just walking around the city. It’s like he realised we were all worried about him, and he decided to return home,” she said.
The teenager had sparked widespread concern after he reportedly sneaked out of school and disappeared without informing anyone.
Why was Teddy troubled?
Efforts to trace him yielded no results for three days, despite the matter being reported to the police.
“We’re just grateful he’s alive and back with his family. We’ve all been so worried. The students, the teachers, we were all checking for updates every hour,” the concerned teacher said.
Teacher Juliet had previously revealed that Teddy had been struggling emotionally after losing his mother in a road accident last term.
The tragic event had left a visible impact on him, and the school had placed him under ongoing guidance and counselling sessions.

However, it now appears the pain ran deeper than anyone could have fully understood, and he didn’t know how to process it all.
The news of Teddy’s return has brought hope to many who followed his story, especially on social media, where his photo and details were widely shared.
Several people joined hands in solidarity, praying and calling for his safe return.
His family has confirmed that Teddy is now resting and that he will receive psychological support moving forward.

No foul play in Teddy's disappearance
Plans are already underway to reintroduce him to school life gently, with counsellors on standby to help him cope with his grief and emotions.
“We want to thank everyone who shared his photo, prayed with us, or even just kept us in their thoughts,” a family member said. “As a family, we are relieved. Now we focus on healing.”

The family member confirmed that Teddy’s return was voluntary and that no foul play is suspected.
