Nairobi, Kenya: Joseph Mutua, a young man who lost all his household items after they were auctioned due to unpaid rent, has landed a job and also received KSh 250,000 from Kenyans.

Three days ago, auctioneers stormed young Mutua's home and carried away his possessions. Instead of going through it alone, the young man stunned viewers by livestreaming the moment with a calm voice and encouraging message to himself.
While many people in such a position would ask for money to help themselves, Mutua consistently asked for a job.
How did Kenyans help Mutua?
Quite a number of people sympathised with him, and one of them was Eric Omondi, who shared that the young man has now received KSh 250,000 from Kenyans.

"God doesn't sleep…our brother Mutua already got a call last night, we are in Nyeri and the job has already started. Yesterday, he got KSh 250,000 and it has sorted him out as far as rent is concerned," said Omondi in a Facebook video.
While still at it, a woman identified as Hon Praxidese K Imonje also shared that she was offering him a job.
"I am building a school in Vipingo and want to do an Olympic-standard swimming pool. Kindly share contacts; I wouldn't mind working with him too. Team Sisi kwa Sisi," she said.
"He should never miss rent again. We have to uplift each other, especially in business growth," she added.

Mutua was overwhelmed by the massive support he received from Kenyans as he expressed his gratitude.
"Thanks, Kenyans, for helping me when I thought it was all over," he said

Mutua sparked mixed reactions on social media with his sad video, and many noted how strong he was for filming one of the moments when his back was against the wall.
