Agnes is the only guardian her three young grandchildren have following a tragic incident that robbed them of their mother.
In the wake of this unfortunate turn of events, Agnes has faced the hard duty of feeding the little ones and ensuring they attend school.
Agnes opens up about losing loved ones
Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Apostle Dan Wema shared that he met Agnes on her way to school, carrying a bundle of firewood on her head.

"Agnes was taking the firewood to the school to use it as payment for her grandkids' school fees. She didn’t have a single shilling, and her grandchildren had been sent home because of fee arrears. Two of them had school uniforms, but they were torn, while the third wore a different uniform. Agnes told me she had borrowed it because she couldn’t afford to buy one.
"Agnes lost her daughter and son-in-law two years ago, leaving her solely responsible for the three little girls. Her husband also abandoned her some years back, and the burden of providing for the family fell squarely on her, a burden she is struggling to bear," he said.

Wema added that the children lack not only school fees but also essentials such as food and proper clothing.
Agnes herself appeared exhausted and mentioned she had been unwell for some time but lacked money for treatment.

"These precious children, through no fault of their own, are facing immense hardship. They lack not only school fees but also basic necessities like food and uniforms. Mama Agnes' love is abundant, but her resources are not.
"We are called to bear one another’s burdens and care for the vulnerable among us. In Matthew 25:40, the Word says, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.' Let us answer this call and extend a helping hand to Agnes and her grandchildren," he pleaded.

Kakamega girl selling avocados returns to school
In another story, Wema extended his kindness towards the needy with the help of his supportive online community.
A young girl named Leah, from Kakamega county, resumed school after Wema came through for her when he found her selling avocados by the roadside.
The Form Two student sold the fruit to raise money for medicine for her sick brother, who was bedridden at home.
