Stella Nyaboke Mokua has faced a challenging journey, mainly due to financial difficulties.

The determined young lady has been studying at Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC), Kapkatet Campus, for longer than expected.

How much is Nyaboke's fees arrears?

Nyaboke has been at the institution for seven years, as she struggles with school fees.

"I am supposed to start my exams on Monday, July 21, 2025. However, I have fee arrears amounting to KSh 163,700, which I doubt I will be able to raise before then. I only have one month remaining as a KMTC student. I don’t have a relative who can help me. I struggle a lot, but God has helped me reach this far," she said.

Well-wishers had initially taken her to school, promising to support her until she completed her studies. However, they later broke their promise, leaving Nyaboke stranded.

One of Nyaboke's teachers spoke highly of her and urged well-wishers to come through for the industrious young lady.

"Nyaboke is a bright student, but lack of school fees keeps her at home most of the time. We hope that, with the help of well-wishers, she will sit her exams this time.
"Additionally, Nyaboke cleans the school hall and tends the school garden to earn money for daily needs. Sometimes, she washes utensils at the school mess to make a small income," the teacher said.
