Wusi Kishamba Member of County Assembly (MCA), Duncan Wangama, is grief-stricken following the tragic death of his beloved wife, Stella Machocho Wangama.

Stella passed away on July 8, barely a day after giving birth to their lovely daughter, Judy.
The MCA’s wife delivered her bundle of joy through a Caesarean section, which was successful, but sadly developed post-birth complications that led to her untimely death.
Her passing left the entire Wusi Kishamba ward engulfed in grief, as leaders and residents joined in mourning her loss.

What did MCA Wangama say at his wife’s burial?
Speaking during Stella’s burial ceremony held on Thursday, July 17, Wangama shared beautiful memories of their life together and mourned her as a selfless human being.
He expressed deep sorrow that their newborn baby came into the world as her mother departed, saying the emotional weight of that exchange was unbearable.
“Today, words fail me. My heart is broken, heavy, and lost in places I never imagined. Just a few hours after bringing our beautiful daughter Judy into the world, your time on earth came to an end. A new life began as yours was called home,” he said.

Wangama described Stella as more than a wife; she was his best friend, pillar of strength, and safe space.
“You stood by me in so many ways, emotionally, economically, and spiritually, in more ways than I can explain,” he shared.
The MCA recalled a month when he was admitted to the hospital, and how Stella lovingly took care of him despite being heavily pregnant.
He said those memories would remain etched in his heart forever.
“You loved me loudly from feeding me with the same plate, to making sure I was always dressed well for work and other events. You always surprised me with gifts, just like on July 4th. I didn’t know that would be your last surprise for me,” he said.
He lamented that his wife was taken too soon, at a time when they were just beginning to build their young family.

The grieving husband vowed to raise their daughter, Judy, just as they had envisioned in love, with strong values, and in honour of her mother’s legacy.
“Though you lie here lifeless, Judy will grow as we had planned. She will know that her mother was strong, beautiful, loving, kind, resilient, and full of grace,” he said.
Wangama thanked Stella for every sacrifice she made to ensure their family was happy and complete.
“I will see you again on the other side of paradise. My love, I have accepted that you are no longer on this earth. Rest in peace, my love, my precious, my Stella,” he concluded.
The Wusi Kishamba MCA also called on his family and mourners to pray for him, saying he feels lost and needs strength to continue serving them.
