Wangama had just laid his beloved wife, Stella Wangama, to rest on Thursday, July 17, in an emotional send-off, only for their daughter to follow suit three days later.
The double loss has left the MCA in deep pain and grief, as he struggles to come to terms with the fast and tragic turn of events in his life.
In a moving post that attracted concern, empathy, and words of encouragement, the grieving MCA announced his daughter’s demise.
“Ooh my God, why all this? My daughter Judy, mbona?” he shared.

How did Duncan Wangama’s wife die?
Stella tragically passed away in the early hours of July 8, barely a day after giving birth to the baby girl.
Although she had successfully delivered via caesarean section, she later developed complications that led to her untimely death.
During her burial, the MCA shared a heartfelt tribute, remembering her as a loving and selfless wife who always ensured their family was well taken care of.
Wangama fondly recalled how Stella often gifted him and made sure he was well dressed for every event he attended as an MCA.
“You loved me so loudly and so intentionally, from feeding me using the same plate to carefully dressing me for work and events so I could always look my best. You never stopped surprising me with your thoughtful gifts, even when I least expected them. Just like you did on Friday the 4th. I had no idea that would be your last surprise for me. Your love was pure, truthful, and deeply intentional,” he said at the time.
Wangama also promised to take care of their daughter and raise her to know the kind of woman her mother was.
Tragically, he never got the chance to keep that promise, as his beloved little girl passed away just days later.
How do you handle grief after losing loved ones?
TUKO.co.ke spoke to a psychologist who explained that grief manifests differently in different people.
Jedida Wafula said some individuals may become depressed, withdraw from family and friends, or stop engaging in their usual activities.
"Grief affects people in different ways. While some may cope well and grieve for a short period, others struggle. It doesn’t necessarily end—some may find themselves mourning years after losing a loved one," she said.
Wafula noted that counselling and therapy are effective ways to begin the healing process. She added that the MCA may need to see a therapist following his loss.
