How did David and killer get the gate?
He first attacked David by stabbing him in the chest near the heart, then dragged him to the gate where he ordered him to open the remote-controlled gate.
Despite putting up a brave fight with his attacker up to the gate, he was sadly overpowered and stabbed in the neck.
"After opening the gate, he stabbed him several times until he was sure he was dead,” said the investigator.
The killer then went upstairs and found the wife (David's) still making calls to relatives and stabbed her twice, also killing her
It is apparent that the man who came to the Mutaaga's house did not want to steal any item from him, but his only mission was to kill them.

Reactions to Mutaaga's death:
Nasasira Carry-on Lilly:
"Sounds like a jealous person came to just kill them. The first suspect should be the people who lived in this house before the couple returned!"
Mwesigye Innocent:
"For a home like that, a security guard should be a must. Once your value exceeds 150m in liquid cash, it doesn't kill to surrender 500k a month for extra security."
Fredricks Mwebe:
"And they probably came to steal a TV and a Laptop! In so doing took two lives!! That’s what being impoverished in body and mind does to you!"
Monday Moses Tumwesigye:
"Investigations should start with relatives."
Haddy Nab
"Why! Why! Why! This news is so horrific and painful. One must really reconsider if returning home is even worth it. It’s those so called closest to you supposed to be family that will eat your money and in the end becoming the death of you. The sad part is that they are not the first to be killed nor will they be the last ones. This killing is an inside job!"
Naomi Roberts:
"Homeowners always have a gun in your bedroom drawer and one for your wife in case you may need her assistance."
Chilling captured Mutaaga and wife's killing
In another story, it emerged that police retrieved CCTV footage from the home of the Mutaagas and the suspected killer was heard speaking to the couple and complaining about several things.
He also announced his intention to come uninvited into their home, and once he was done with his heinous crime, he left.
The twin murders have been linked to a fight over property, which David was in charge of even when he was abroad.
