Family Startled after Finding Strange Items on Grave of Kin Who Worked in Army: "Mayai Ya Kienyeji"

A family has been left disturbed after finding suspected witchcraft items on their kin’s grave just weeks after his burial.

They had laid their family member, Joel Mwasuku, a retired soldier, to rest in an emotional ceremony attended by relatives and friends.

When the grieving family visited the grave days later, they were shocked and unimpressed by what they saw.

What items were found on Mwasuku's grave?

They were left with more questions than answers as they struggled to come to terms with the strange discovery.

“We received the news with a lot of pain and questions as a family. My mum was shocked, she had just buried her husband and was heartbroken by the updates. She regretted hearing what had happened, and it broke her.

We headed to the grave with a few other people, including our pastor and fellowship members. When we got there, we found mysterious items. Among them were eggs, money placed at each corner of the grave, four candles, a white cloth, and a bottle with some medicine inside. We also found a coconut,” Mwasuku’s son said.

Together with fellow believers, they gathered the strange items and burned them near the grave.

They then made fervent prayers and intercession, invoking the name and blood of Jesus as they prayed.

“Afterwards, since the people who placed the strange items had left an offering on my dad’s grave, we also went to church and gave an offering, as we have been brought up in a Christian family.

As a family, we feel very bad and insulted by what was done to our father’s grave. He is someone who has rested. It is not right,” he added.

He urged society to pray and rebuke such acts, quoting Scripture to support their stand against witchcraft.

He further revealed they had also found a knife stuck right in the middle of his father’s grave, which deeply pained them.

Another resident noted this was not the first time they had encountered such a strange incident in the village.

He said there were three other graves where similar items had been found, raising serious concerns.

“There was a grave not far from Mwasuku’s where we found a black chicken and other strange things. It is very worrying, and I ask the villagers to work together to stop such witchcraft acts and let the dead rest in peace,” he said.

Speaking to TUKO.co.ke Pastor Dann Mathews Were said the family did well in engaging warfare prayers.

"The clearly understand that life is spiritual and they were dealing with a spiritual matter. Yes, I agree that they needed to burn the items and also offer a sacrifice to their Maker to counter the offering given by the other people to their god(s). They did exemplary well," he said.

Embu family find dug in home compound

In another incident, a family in Runyenjes, Embu, was stunned to find a grave dug in their compound, complete with a cross.

The family claimed they had no disagreements with anyone and were baffled by whoever would do such a thing.

The bizarre scene attracted curious villagers, and the family also informed the police of the unsettling discovery.
