Their little boy, dressed in a blue sweatshirt and black trousers, seeing his mother in distress, moved towards his father and attempted to push him away from her.
However, the man paid no attention, and the boy lacked the strength to stop him from harming his mum.
The woman tried to deflect his hand, but was instead met with a heavy slap to the face, scaring the boy, who then moved aside.
The couple engaged in a brief exchange before the woman walked out of the kitchen with her children.

Cyrus Kigo:
"I weep for those kids. No matter what she did, at this moment, that boy is more of a man than his dad. If you can’t tolerate someone, leave. Leave and go find your peace—at least the children won’t be traumatised.
And ladies, love yourselves a little more. There's no trophy or award for keeping a man around. Having no man is better than a violent one. That boy is barely ten, and he’ll grow to resent that man, I know I would. In fact, I'd rather he left."
Baba Hawi:
"Guys, being in a marriage is hard and not for the faint-hearted. Women will push you to the limit with their words; even a small thing can escalate. I’ve been there, and sometimes the internal and external pressures are overwhelming. It takes mental strength and self-control, which is a gift of the Holy Spirit, to stop us from reaching such levels as men. We go through a lot too."
