Nairobi, Kenya: Inject party leader Morara Kebaso has displayed an M-Pesa message after returning KSh 500 to a woman who donated towards his campaign and political work.

As the Gen Zs stormed the political scene demanding better governance in 2024, Kebaso was also preaching the gospel but in a different way; he used to visit various places, and whenever he found unfinished projects by the government, he would expose them.
How did Morara Kebaso start activism?
Through his whistleblowing, Morara became a darling of many Kenyans who love accountability and eventually grew a large following, with some people volunteering their services at the huge house he had been given to run the operations.
Over time, he started looking for money to fund his travelling and also campaigns as his movement eventually grew into the Inject Party. Things were okay for some time until people started accusing him of frequently asking for money for things like fuel and other expenses.
From a beloved political activist, some people started alleging that he was a con who was not being accountable for the money they were giving him every time he asked for it. Recently, he announced that he had quit politics and gave his reasons for doing so.

Is Morara Kebaso refunding supporters?
A section of Kenyans have since asked for a refund, as they gave him cash when he was asking for cash.
"If you need a refund for any contribution you made to me when I was raising funds kindly reply below with the Mpesa message or check your M-Pesa statement and recover the Mpesa ref. code," he said.
"I would like to refund any Kenyan that may have thought that the contributions were a motivation for me seek leadership."
A young lady shared that she had given him KSh 500, and he should give it back as promised. He sent her the money and displayed the message for all to see on social media.
"Even God knows I have done my best. But I cannot continue living a life where I am traumatized everyday to feel like a thief. My reputation is more important than money. And I will guard it with my life," he said.
"We will be doing this process of refunds every day for the next three days until everyone who feels robbed or conned receives what is rightfully theirs," he added in a Facebook page.

Morara's ally shares reason for dumping him
In another story, Inject Party of Kenya co-founder, identified as Kimori, clarified his departure from the party, which was the brainchild of Morara.
According to the young man, the renowned activist of made questionable decisions without consultation.
Additionally, he claimed that the actions, along with matters of security, led to his decision to part ways with the Inject Party.
