Kenyan Woman Shares Heartfelt Plea to Reconnect With Lost Stepfather Who Raised Her

A Kenyan woman is appealing to the public for help in tracing her long-lost stepfather, Jackson Maina, a man she describes as once being “very dear” to her.

Marcellinah Kimutai Mbula, who now lives in Nairobi, says she lost contact with Maina after her mother’s passing.

Where was Mercy raised?

She told TUKO.co.ke that the two had shared a home in Mathare Area 3, near the 29/30 neighbourhood, during her high school years.

Mercy expressed that Jackson was more than just a stepfather; he was a father to her who made sure she had food, school supplies, and all the support she needed.

"He always treated me like his own daughter. His presence gave me stability and love at a time I really needed it,” she recalled.

Now, years later, Mercy hopes to reconnect and thank the man who has shaped her life in immeasurable ways.

Why Mercy wants to reconnect with stepdad

Mercy is asking anyone who may know Maina, or anyone who lived in or around Mathare Area 3 during that time, to come forward with information that could help reunite them.

She reiterated that she just wants to give the man her thanks in person, adding that he may not know it, but the kindness he showed her has left a lasting mark.

“If there’s anything you can do to share this message or assist in finding him, I would truly appreciate it,” she added.

Lilian Mtiva told TUKO.co.ke that she had never laid eyes on her father, David Osaji, and wanted to hear his side of the story.

The 29-year-old explained that not knowing her father had left her with a void and a deep yearning for identity and closure.
