The leg fracture he sustained was left untreated, eventually healing in an incorrect position—a condition known medically as a malunion.

This has left him with a painful, disabling deformity that limits his mobility.

Details indicate that the man's name is Karanja, and he hails from Limuru near the Cleanshelf Supermarket bridge.

What was Nairobi street man's diagnosis?

His fortunes began to change when he was recently approached by Mosiria while conducting environmental supervision in the area.

Moved by his story and visibly deteriorating condition, the Good Samaritan took immediate action by escorting him to a nearby hospital for medical evaluation.

Doctors at the hospital conducted a thorough check-up and confirmed the presence of a malunion.

Mosiria explained that the man's story is heartbreaking, but it’s not uncommon and added that his resilience despite living in pain and on the streets for so long struck him.
