Paul Nai left home on the morning of Friday, July 25, 2025, and was expected to return home in the evening after work, as was the norm.

Speaking to Inooro TV, Paul's wife Caroline Wanjiru said she was filled with anxiety when her husband failed to return home that evening.

"He left early in the morning, and we did not have problems. In the evening, when I expected him to come back, he did not, and I was so worried," she said.

To her shock, her husband's body was found on railway tracks, and it appeared as if he had been killed elsewhere and dumped there.

"I plead with the government to do thorough investigations into the death of my husband because he did not fall onto these tracks," she said.

Peter Kibiro, a security official from Muguga, said a Nyumba Kumi elder contacted him and told him that Paul's body had been discovered, and he contacted the family.

"It appears as if he was thrown from the highway to the railway, and then his body was placed on the tracks, but police investigations will help us know what exactly happened," he said.

Kikuyu police commander Joseph Commander said that preliminary investigations had shown that the man was killed elsewhere and the killers dumped his body at the tracks, hoping a train would run him down to destroy evidence.

"If a train had passed by, his head would have been crushed completely," a local noted.
