Eldoret: Imani Faith, a woman suffering from breast cancer, is appealing to members of the public to help her raise money for two surgeries.

Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Faith shared that she was diagnosed with breast cancer in March 2024 and since then she has been undergoing chemotherapy.
Initially, she had surgery to remove the cancer from her breast, but tragically, the disease had already spread to her lungs.

Now, doctors have confirmed that two more urgent surgeries are needed to save her life.

Yesterday, July 28, Imani travelled all the way to Eldoret but her treatment was declined by SHA despite the medication costing Ksh 141,000.
"Pre-authorisation for oncology services at Eldoret Hospital for Faith has been declined due to the individual usage has exceeded the allowed limit," read a message from SHA seen by TUKO.co.ke.

How can Kenyans help Faith?
In desperation, Faith boarded a matatu straight to Nairobi to look for her friend in Kitengela.
"When she arrived this morning, I was shattered, I could barely recognise her. The pain, weakness and fear… it broke my heart," said her friend Joan Jelagat.
"We are now reaching out to you, our community, for help. Every little contribution counts. Faith doesn't have a paybill yet because this emergency came unexpectedly, but you can send your support directly to her number, which I’ll share below," said Faith.
According to Jelagat, the doctors recommended that the affected parts be removed from her breast, while she preferred that the whole of it be removed.
Prior to going for the surgery, she will need two chemo sessions, each costing KSh 141,000.

Kiambu mum seeks KSh 2 million for daughter's treatment
Another story revealed that Rebecca Okoyo was stunned when her dear daughter was diagnosed with sickle cell anaemia and would require a lot of care from her.
After getting over the initial shock, Rebecca said she started fighting ti ensure her daughter's comfort.
Sadly, mum of one llst her jiob and to add salt to injury, her daughter who aslready grappling sith suckle cell anaemia git a stroke.
The young mother told TUKO.co.ke that they now need KSh 2 million to ensure that her daughter is dischareged from the hospital so that she can contunue recupoerring at home.
