Michelle Kimati was the beloved child of Simoni, and the distraught mother said that the last time she saw her daughter, the two-year-old asked her for chips, and she obliged the little angel.

"My child was at the neighbour's place and told me 'mum I want you to buy me chips' and we returned as I was carrying her on the back. She asked me to drop her to go play at the neighbour's place and went to the shop. When the neighbour finished cooking, she gave my child and her kid food, and they went to relieve themselves," she said.

Why was the neighbour's take on Michelle's death?

An angry neighbour alleged that little Michelle got lost as a result of black magic in the area.

"Why are they afraid to say that there is witchcraft being practiced in the area? The child was killed at 1pm...and that time, people were looking for that child everywhere including the place she was last seen. Her body was dumped at the same place at exactly 1 pm," she added.
