Family Mourns as Lady Who Got Married a Year Ago Returns Home in Casket: "Painful"

A lady has taken to social media to mourn a woman who died a year after her marriage, in devastating circumstances.

In the heartwrenching video, family and friends gathered as the woman's coffin was being ferried home for burial preparations after her sudden demise.

In a TikTok video, the mourners wailed as the casket was offloaded into the compound, with the family member who posted revealing that Salome had been married a year before her death.

She revealed that the young woman died during childbirth and left behind her newborn baby.

"After one year in marriage, this is how Salome, you came back. You have left your newborn without looking back. I wish tears could bring you back," Victoria, the family member, said.

Women share traumatic birth experiences

The video touched many netizens who sympathised with the grieving family who were struggling to come to terms with Salome's death.

Many other ladies recounted their near-death experiences while giving birth.

Impeccable narrated that Salome's ordeal had reminded her of how she lost her baby during delivery and the great danger she was in.

"I was so weak. May she rest in peace."

Another lady identified as Patcy said:

"I lost my baby last week during birth, but this hit differently. A mother dying is a different kind of pain."

Okikiade noted that she also lost her sister during childbirth, and the family was left to raise the baby.

Many other netizens who were touched by the clip resorted to prayer, hoping that those who are pregnant will deliver safely.

"I decree that I will give birth to my baby safe and sound in Jesus' name, Amen. Rest in peace to the dead."

chibby846 said:

"May God Almighty console those she left behind, and may her soul rest in peace. To all pregnant women, we will hear the cry of the baby and the cry of the mother."

MCA's wife dies during childbirth

This comes a couple of weeks after the Taita Taveta MCA Duncan Wangama lost his wife after she delivered their baby girl, less than two years after their colourful wedding.

In a heartwarming tribute on Facebook, the MCA said:

"Stella, you were not just my wife. You were my precious one, my best friend, my anchor, and my safe place. You were the pillar beside me in every way: spiritually, emotionally, socially, and even economically. You stood by me in ways I could never fully explain."

Sadly, the baby girl also died days later.
