Maureen Omwenga had come back to Kenya after working in the Gulf country for two years.

“Our sister-in-law went to Saudi Arabia to search for greener pastures after realising our family was needy. God helped her to travel, work, and come back home,” he said.

Justin added that Maureen even bought a cow that was producing milk shortly after her return.

What happened to Maureen Omwenga?

According to Justin, on the day Maureen died, she had just finished milking her cow and was returning a jug she had borrowed from a neighbour who had given her sour milk.

Sadly, she collapsed on the way and was later found lying on the ground, still holding the jug.

Her husband, Charles Omwenga, said he had gone to collect Napier grass for the cow when he received news of the incident.

“We rushed Maureen to hospital, where she was admitted to the emergency room. The doctor told us to wait outside. Unfortunately, we lost her,” he said.

What happened to Kisii woman who returned from Europe?

In other tragic news, TUKO.co.ke reported that a family in Kisii was thrown into mourning after their daughter, who had just returned from Europe, collapsed and died.

Lorna Sokkie Keno had reportedly complained of feeling unwell and requested something to drink on that fateful morning.

Later, she became too weak to do anything on her own and called on one of her relatives to help her out of bed.

It was at that moment that Lorna collapsed and died, just three days before her scheduled flight back to Switzerland.
