A woman has revisited a painful part of her past after charging the mobile phone of her late father, who passed away in 2013.

Kara McGuire, in a TikTok video, explained that her father died when she was only five years old. Upon coming across his old phone, she decided to go with her gut instinct and charged the device.
To her surprise, the phone still contained her father's last text messages—sent to her mother and his best friend. The call log was also intact, with her mother listed as the last person who called after learning of her husband’s passing.

What were Kara’s late dad’s final words?
The young woman shared the last text message her beloved father had sent to her mother, expressing his longing for their presence:
"I am alright, it would be better if you and Kara were here," read the message dated 17 June 2013.
In another message to his best friend, Kara’s dad conveyed his deep fear and resignation over his declining health:
"No, I’m just getting about, I’m not going to get better, bud," the message read.
