Tanzania: A man who fell in love with a single mother and started taking good care of her child is heartbroken after she announced that she wanted to go back to her baby daddy.

In WhatsApp chats shared between the two and leaked through the Dunia Ina Mambo page, the woman acknowledged that her current man loved her child from the previous relationship and even paid school fees for him.
"Thank you for everything you have done for us, but stay away from us from today because my baby daddy is back and wants us to get back together. You know how much I love him and can't lose him. I want us to raise him so anything you have done for me treat is as an offering," Dolly said.
"Are you out of your mind? That man mistreated you badly and I don't have to remind you," her current lover shot back.

Speaking exclusively to TUKO.co.ke, psychologist and relationship therapist David Munai explained that such outcomes are more common than many assume, especially where one party builds expectations around “doing the right thing” without confirming mutual emotional commitment. He observed that financial help, though well-intentioned, can sometimes be misinterpreted.
“Many men assume that by stepping up financially, they’re cementing their place in the woman’s life, but emotional ties are not bought. If the woman hasn’t emotionally let go of the past, the present relationship stands on shaky ground,” said Munai.
Why did Dolly leave her husband?
Not to be outdone, the single mum, Dolly, said that she was the one who was being mistreated and she didn't want him to plan her life.
"Just because you paid the house rent, school fees don't mean I should choose you, those were your obligations towards me," said the woman.
"Okay God is there and has seen what you are doing Dolly, one day you will remember me," he said.
