It all started as a joke when her employers asked her what she wanted for her birthday. When she left the choice to them, they presented her with an array of gifts.
Even more touching, they promised to enrol her in a driving school to help in case of medical emergencies involving their child.
"They have also committed to buying me a laptop so she can continue learning German online," she shared.
Other acts of kindness by Jenipher's boss
She also recounted how she first realised the kindness of her employers after a household accident left her bleeding uncontrollably from a deep cut caused by a broken glass.
“When I called out for help, the madam immediately threw aside her phone and rushed to my aid,” she recalled. “She performed first aid without gloves, saying I meant a lot to her and she didn't care about the risk. That melted my heart.”
Jenipher added that the husband also sprang into action, grabbing the car keys and assisting her into the vehicle, going as far as putting on shoes mid-staircase out of urgency.
He then drove her to the hospital, where they booked her for surgery and covered all medical expenses without touching her salary.
“I was so scared they would deduct it from my pay, but they didn’t,” she said. “They told me they appreciated the way I care for their child with a disability.”

Jenipher also extended her gratitude to her Kenyan recruitment agent, Rodney, who ensured her host family wouldn’t restrict her internet access due to her ongoing online studies.
“I thank him for boldly speaking up on my behalf before I left Kenya. His efforts have paid off,” she said.
Her story is a rare beacon of hope for many domestic workers abroad, proving that kindness and humanity can thrive anywhere.
