The woman, who was out of the country, was shattered after learning about her daughter’s death online.
She was deeply heartbroken after finding out that her daughter, Linet Natabona, had met her untimely fate.
She could not contain her grief in a leaked phone call after receiving the devastating news.
Where was Natabona's mum when her daughter died?
"Hello... Linet is no more... Linet is dead," Natabona's mum cried in the audio, expressing her sorrow.
She was inconsolable, as only she knew the depth of the loss she was experiencing and how important Natabona was to her.
In a WhatsApp chat, Natabona's mum broke the news to a popular TikToker as she mourned her daughter prior to the call:
“I have lost my daughter this morning. My daughter is no more and I am far. I’m in Kuwait. She was found dead,” read the chats.
What caused death of Natabona?
Rumors began circulating that Natabona had been involved in a love triangle with her boss while in the Gulf.
She was allegedly stabbed to death after being found out, but this information was disputed by Egessa Dauson, the TikToker who spoke with Natabona's mum.
“Stop spreading false information about Natabona. Some Kenyans, because they are typing in Kiswahili, are misleading many netizens. Some are saying she was killed over another person’s husband, which is not true.
This lady had been sick since December 2023 until the time of her death. She had been ill for over a year and eight months. Let the deceased rest,” he said.
