Karatina residents have called for thorough investigations into the cases of missing children, noting that it has become rampant.

Jackline Kagu, an activist, stated that apprehending those responsible for the inhumane acts and child killings should be prioritised to help curb the rising trend.

"It looks like it has become a trend, something is happening to our children, and it is not safe anymore. It is not only in Nyeri county, as we have seen several children missing from different counties," said Jackline Kagu.
