A heartwarming video of a group of sociology students surprising their lecturer with a generous shopping haul has captured the attention of thousands online and left their teacher, Dr Tegbe, holding back tears.

In the now-viral TikTok clip, Tegbe is seen standing at the front of a classroom, visibly confused as student after student walks in carrying various shopping items.

How did students surprise kind lecturer?

Some brought food, others drinks, and many contributed household essentials, piling them on the lecturer's desk until it was completely covered.

By the time Tegbe grasped the extent of the gesture, the scene had become overwhelming — in the best way possible. To top it all off, the students also filled his car with fuel.

Moved, the emotional lecturer struggled to speak as he offered a heartfelt blessing:

“May God bless you all. You will make it in life,” he said, his voice quivering with gratitude.

Elsewhere, a viral video captured students surprising their lecturer, Dr Olagunju, with gifts during class.

The lecturer, visibly emotional, smiled as the students presented the gifts, and he later gave the class a day off.

Dazzle, one of the students, explained that the gesture was to appreciate the lecturer for his dedication throughout the semester.
