Florida, USA: It has emerged that Brandi Smith, the woman who was shot alongside her husband, David Lee, allegedly by her son, had complained about the young one in 2019.

Social media was shocked after the 14-year-old boy confessed to shooting his parents dead and then surrendered at a local church. According to police officers who responded to the 911 call, they found David and Brandi dead inside their home.
Haunting questions about what led to the heinous crime have since emerged.

In 2019, all was not well between mother and son, if a post on her Facebook page is anything to go by.
"This little boy gives me pure hell. Everything I did to my parents, I'm getting it back times 10. Yall keep us lifted up in prayer," she wrote.

Trevor Lee's best friend speaks
Speaking to NewsforJax, Trevor's best friend expressed his utter shock after learning that he had killed his parents and surrendered to the police.
Kyree Beamon noted that Trevor and his family were like his second family and that the incident had seen him lose people he loved dearly.
"They were probably one of the best families I knew. They were funny, kind, and they loved me like a son and treated me as such," he said.
Kyree said he hung out at the ill-fated family's house nearly every week, recalling that on Friday, Trevor's dad drove them to football practice and also picked them up.
He said learning what his best friend had done left him in a lot of confusion and shock.
"It is unreal! I cannot believe it. He was funny and charismatic and always brought good vibes," he said, adding that they had been best friends since nursery school.
On the fateful day that Trevor is alleged to have killed his parents, he called Kyree and told him that he loved him.
"He called just after midnight and said that he loved me and that he was only calling to say goodnight," he said.
Children find parents dead in bedroom
In another story, grief gripped Gikumbo village after children found the bodies of their parents in the bedroom early in the morning.
In a video, members of the community said they were puzzled after the couple was found dead under unclear circumstances. The stunned villagers called for urgent investigations.
Local leaders also raised an alarm over rising insecurity in the area and urged the immediate reinstatement of security personnel.
