Nandi Woman on Run after Allegedly Stabbing Boda Boda Rider Lover to Death

Singiro village, Nandi: Shock and sorrow have engulfed Singiro village in Nandi after a woman stabbed her boyfriend of nine years and took off for the nearest hills.

The man who was killed, 28-year-old Vincent Kiplagat, used to be a boda boda rider, and he had been dating his live-in lover for nine years.

How was Kiplagat accosted?

Although the two seemed like they were having a beautiful relationship to the outside world, it emerged that they had been fighting quietly.

"She stabbed him only once because when we found him he was lying on his back," said a neighbour.
"When someone dies such a horrible death as parents were really feel bad. We don't think that she was alone while carrying out the heinous crime; it is like there was another man in the house with her to help her carry out the fatal act," she added.

Kiplagat's body has been preserved at the Samaritan Morgue.

Other boda boda riders who were killed

  • Police in Migori were investigating an incident where a man died after fighting another during a visit to a woman’s house. The two men reportedly met accidentally at the house when one of them was on a date before a fight ensued
  • Unknown people attacked Kennedy Okeyo in North Nyakach location on Wednesday, July 16. According to the area chief, Maurice Adie, armed men ambushed the man while he was in a woman's house
  • Two bodies of unidentified men were dumped along the Mogotia-Kipkitur Road in Menengai, Nakuru county. According to Sub-county commander Cecilia Kemboi, investigations were already underway amid growing insecurity in that part of Nakuru after multiple murder cases
  • A 21-year-old angry woman sadly stabbed her 22-year-old husband during a domestic dispute in Matuu township. The woman, who was overwhelmed by frustration, inflicted a fatal wound to her husband's chest before she tried to harm herself.

Buruburu woman attacks husband

Another story revealed that a woman, who was caught on camera assaulting her husband in 2024 did it again in August 2025.

The couple in Buruburu Estate were at loggerheads; the matter went public, and it was caught on CCTV again.

In the CCTV clip, the woman is seen storming into the home she shared with her husband and swiftly reaching the door, trying to calm her down.

The lady pushed him away, went straight into the kitchen on a mission to grab their kitchen knife to stab him. Another woman in the house fought to grab the knife from the angry woman.
