Jackline Kasau died on Sunday, August 10, days before her grand wedding, following a horrible incident.

The 42-year-old died alongside other relatives in a tragic road accident on the fateful day.

She passed away together with her lastborn daughter, her mother-in-law, and another relative, leaving the family in shock.
"The deceased, Kasau, is my sister-in-law. We were together with the other victims in the homestead before the accident. We had a dowry payment event before the highly anticipated wedding scheduled to happen on Saturday, August 16," narrated Shadrack Kilonzo.
A clip of Kasau happily dancing on her dowry payment day emerged, capturing a snippet of the occasion.

It was an event of joy and laughter, attended by family and friends celebrating ahead of the big day.
Kasau donned a beautiful dress as she showed off sleek moves while approaching a tent, as seen in the clip.
She was sandwiched between two women who matched her dancing energy and style as they accompanied her to the tent.
The MC, who stood inside the tent, cheered up the guests as he spoke on the microphone, joining them in the dance.
Who was Jackline Kasau?
It was a foreshadowing of the wedding that was to happen days later but instead turned into burial arrangements.
"They left us around 7:30 pm as they returned home, but we received the shattering news in the morning that they had an accident along the Kitui–Kibwezi road and died. That is a big blow and loss to us, as we had high hopes and joy for the wedding on Saturday.
The joy we had has now turned into heartbreak and grief, as we are no longer preparing for a wedding but a burial," Kilonzo added.
Jackline Kasau's sister speaks after losing sibling
Her sister, Jacinta Kilonzo, noted that Jackline, a teacher at St. Mary's Kinyambu Secondary School, was a very close relative to her and expressed her deep grief.
She shared that Jackline was her sister, whom she regarded as a mother figure because of the role she played in her life.
"We have lost my sister and her daughter. The others were a mother-in-law from Kibwezi and her best friend. There was also another man, Jackline’s husband’s cousin, but he only sustained minor injuries and did not die.
I do not know what to say because my sister was so precious to me. We have to accept whatever has happened, it is the will of the Lord. It is very hard to accept, especially for me. We had WhatsApp groups for the wedding, and now they have been converted for the send-off instead," she said.

Another lady dies days to wedding
In another incident, another woman who was set to marry on a Saturday also lost her life in a road accident.
Florence Anane was heading to deliver her wedding cars when she was hit by a vehicle and passed away.
Her wedding was immediately cancelled as burial preparations began for the young and promising woman.
