How did Dorothy lose her land, plot?
Speaking to TV47, Dorothy Kitavi alleged that she co-owned the Thome plot with her husband, but things changed when he got married to his second wife.
"I have never heard of a marriage; we will know if there was a marriage. She went, used force and took the land; he built a house for her there. They used to operate from Thome to Kambu," claimed Dorothy of their rural land.
"When Kitavi retired, he dug a borehole and they started irrigating the land; the y later planted vegetables. When they were ready she would harvest them and chase him away from the shamba," she alleged.

According to Dorothy, the plot in Thome was jointly owned with her husband; they bought it together, but she does not own it anymore.
"There is a day I went to look at the property, but Stella chased and threatened my life. In 2009, I went to see the property, and coincidentally, they came with Kioko in a car and told me, if we ever find you there, you will see. I have never been there since then; I went there when Kitavi died," she said.
Prior to Kitavi's death, there had been talks for the second wife to vacate the plot for another place, but that never happened.
Apparently, Kitavi had visited the police stations and had filed a report, then also placed an ad in the dailies saying that he had lost crucial documents such as his title deed, logbook, and academic credentials.
